With a regional presence in Myrtleford supported by our Melbourne studio, we combine an understanding of regional conditions with the design, planning and technical experience of an established architectural practice.

Regional architecture in practice
Alpine House, Myrtleford
Located on a steep site at the base of Reform Hill, Alpine House responds to views across the Ovens Valley towards Mount Buffalo.
The compact two-bedroom home was designed for the climatic variation of its sub-alpine setting. Its orientation, natural ventilation, insulation, glazing, solar control and bushfire protection contribute to a comfortable and efficient home throughout the year.
Designed by DX Architects and built by Lefoe Construction, the Alpine House received the 2025 Master Builders Regional Award for Best Custom Build Home Under $400,000.
