DX Architects completed the major residential renovation to a single fronted heritage Victorian dwelling in Clifton Hill. The building design retains and enhances the existing dwelling and adds a contemporary double story rear addition.

This renovation also included the installation of a custom industrial styled steel stair detail.

The interior was completed with white painted walls, a feature exposed red brick wall, and was complimented with solid timber wooden flooring. The double glazed aluminium framed windows & doors were carefully detailed with a setdown threshold detail so that the interior seamlessly flowed to the outdoor entertaining spaces

Feature pendant and wall lights were carefully positioned to define the various functions of the flexible open plan living room, while the first floor featured an angled ceiling profile with high level skylight windows above the bath to capture natural sunlight.

The construction phase of the Clifton Hill residential architecture project was completed in August 2017.
