Despite being approximately one hour drive from the CBD, the Mornington Peninsula is a popular area for our architectural services. Cheaper house prices than some of the inner suburbs of Melbourne and plenty of room means that more residents are opting to renovate or add additions and alterations to their properties.

We have acquired a wealth of experience regarding the local housing legislation and planning permissions in the Mornington Peninsula, having worked on a number of projects in Blairgowrie in particular.

Architecture in the Mornington Peninsula

The architecture in Mornington is extremely varied. From beach houses and seaside mansions to cottages and modern apartments – This relaxed, airy and leisurely suburb is ideal for a family or couple looking for character and charm within a commutable distance to Melbourne CBD.

The median house price and rent prices are substantially cheaper than inner suburbs such as Hawthorn or South Yarra. At just under $800,000 to buy and $440 to rent, Mornington Peninsula is affordable, but the area still thrives socially, with bars, award-winning restaurants, shopping and amenities. It is because of this that supply and demand for housing are higher than the average in Victoria and therefore, more and more people are opting to renovate what they already own in Mornington. Architectural projects in Mornington Peninsula

We have undertaken a number of projects in Mornington, however, our most famous piece of architecture is a beach house in Blairgowrie. The project has received positive coverage in a number of local newspapers and architectural magazines and is one of our favourite projects in our extensive portfolio.

Blairgowrie Beach House – Mornington Peninsula

Apart from a small portion at the rear of the property, this project consisted of an external and interior renovation that saw the property expand forward on a steep slope to introduce extra living space.

Using existing features of the exterior landscape and an interior design that was fitting of the location, the project has renovated this beach property into a modern, spacious and contemporary piece of architecture at the heart of Mornington Peninsula
