We have recently re-lodged the town planning application with the City of Yarra for a new house in Mary Street Richmond. The architectural design for this project features a new double story dwelling on a typical single fronted inner city property with a feature roof-top terrace.
As part of the design development process we usually explore the building design in 3d visualisation software to prepare images like this. This allows us to better visualise the building design and assist in communicating the design ideas with our clients.
We are working with a simple palate of rendered light and dark grey surfaces, with some feature metal cladding. The windows are either expressed with metal boxing protrude from the façade, or recessed to create a complementary feature. The proportions of the proposal have been carefully developed to address the council’s urban designer expert comments which were provided as part of the application process. We are hoping to get the City of Yarra’s Town Planning Department’s apprvoal shortly with the aim to start construction as soon as possible.
